ABOUT RGI

Starting in 2015, the company had a singular focus, the purchase and sale of gold originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This modest yet promising start laid the foundation for RGI's remarkable journey.

The idea to embark on a gold mining endeavour along the meandering Ulindi River soon took shape, and with it came the commissioning of a specialized river dredge, designed to extract the precious metal from the riverbed. In 2021 this endeavour came to fruition as the dredge processed its first bucket of pay, heralding a new chapter in RGI's legacy.

Yet, RGI's ambitions did not stop there. Recognizing the need to expand its footprint and amplify gold production, the company undertook the task of commissioning a 40 ton-per-hour mobile gold wash plant. This mobile plant, poised to commence operation in H2 of 2024, will find its home in the picturesque region of Manica, Mozambique.

But gold is not the sole jewel in RGI's crown. Understanding the enduring allure of diamonds, the company commissioned the construction of a 100-ton-per-hour diamond processing plant. Together with its local partners, RGI will be mining and developing a prized concession along the Luembe River, in Lunda Norte, Angola. This venture marks a significant stride towards diversification and underscores RGI's commitment to unlocking the full spectrum of Africa's mineral wealth.
