Royal Gold Investment (RGI) was established in South Africa and Mauritius as a gold investment company focused on the African continent.

Upon identifying a gold-buying business opportunity in the Democratic Republic of Congo, RGI-DRC was established, for the purpose of buying and selling gold.

The requisite license for buying and selling gold was acquired, and the company is now a fully established Comptoir in the DRC and undertakes dredge mining within the DRC. Further to DRC, RGI is established across SADC, namely Mozambique, Angola, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
